We're very excited to announce that our Finance and IT Director, Claire Wright has reached the finals of the prestigious Women in Meat Industry awards.
Dear valued customer
Firstly, on behalf of Soanes Poultry, we would like to apologise to you for the inconvenience you and your business will have suffered as a result of our product recall.
It is the first time we have experienced a situation such as this and we can only thank you for your understanding and forbearance.
We can confirm that we voluntarily chose to recall the product following an irregular result from routine testing of our incoming water supply. While the FSA has advised us to recall, we have also engaged an independent food microbiologist expert who has confirmed to us that because our product is a raw food and will be cooked before consumption, there is no food safety issue.
Once again, we can confirm that if the standard preparation and cooking of the chicken takes place, there is no cause for concern for the public. Please do assure your customers on this point if necessary.
We are happy to collect the affected product from you or you can call us to discuss disposal.
In the meantime, we have implemented remedial action and have been given the all-clear from the FSA to resume production. We will be working to fulfil existing orders in the coming days. Please be aware there may be slight delays in deliveries while we ramp up production to our usual levels.
